Digitisation of audio archives

Analogue audio recordings (reel-to-reel, cassette etc.) are among the most vulnerable materials there are. They are also among the most valuable, as they bear direct, human testimony to the living-conditions, storytelling, singing and playing of music dating from the late 1800s to the present day. The digitisation of these recordings is the first step toward rescuing them and preserving them for the future.
